Training Support Center

Training Support Center (TSC), Ft. Carson, Colorado

The project consists of the design and construction of a new 81,619 SF Training Support Center (TSC) at Ft. Carson, Colorado. Primary facilities include the TSC, designed to accommodate future expansion, 576 SF covered storage shed, loading dock, asphalt parking lot, and utilities (water, wastewater, storm water, and gas). The total square footage as designed is 81,906 SF.

The admin/service space is comprised of multiple service and storage areas and a vault. Included are two EST Training rooms, multi-purpose classrooms, communications rooms (SIPR and NIPR), admin space for cubicles and private offices, equipment issue room, CFFT, CLS Room, fabrication shop, and associated mechanical and electrical rooms. The project provides space for storage of Training Aids Devices Simulators and Simulation (TADSS), high-bay warehouse suitable for forklifts, and maintenance area for Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES) Close Loop Support (CLS). The facility will be heated by a self-contained heating system, and all but the warehouse area air conditioned. Facility will also have a fire protection system, installation of Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Energy Monitoring and Control System (EMCS) connections and building information systems. Supporting facilities include parking area, utilities (water, wastewater, storm water, and gas), perimeter security fencing, information systems, and site improvements.

As USACE and NAVFAC CAD requirements vary by project accordingly, HSW maintains profieciency in both AutoCAD and MicroStation CAD platforms. We currently use AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 and Bentley MicroStation V8i on Windows 7 64-bit operating systems. We have multilple InRoads licenses and trained operators. We are also capable of merging AutoCAD and MicroStation formats and converting between the two when required.
